Samurai Yola Releases New Project ‘FIYOW’

The 9 track journey brings back a staple of Samurai Yola’s equation, pure energy. The prophesied B-side and finale to his last Solo project, “From The Tre With Love” sonically “FIYOW” is the complete opposite. This duality is exhibited in the first track “Bad intro”, a reference to the final track on “From The Tre With Love”, “Bad Txter Outro”. This song details the rejection of feelings and introduces a new plight; revenge. Where “From The Tre With Love” was winsome and emotional, “FIYOW” is menacing and gritty. In a rebuttal to feeling, Yola focuses his energy on drugs, lust, pride, and financially liberty by any means necessary.
These ideals are propelled by thunderous bass, quick hitting hi hats, addictive melodies, and the ability to weave words around all three. With only three features, Samurai Yola chooses a more than appropriate and honorable cast to join him, including Banhoes, LA Big Tripp, and most notably Tia Corine, a fellow Winston-Salem native and buzzing artist in the industry. At its surface, “FIYOW” may seem like a ball of rampant energy. It is the culmination of vulgar emotions after the conclusion of a love interest gone wrong.

About The Artist
Samurai Yola is a 23 year old artist and producer from Winston-Salem NC. He started making beats at the age of 16 for fun but didn’t become serious about the craft until 3 years later in 2017 when he bought his first recording equipment. Within a month of dropping his first single “Lul Shawty”, he began gaining traction in his city and caught the attention of a couple local labels, mainly Steady:Hyperactive. By the second month of his career he was already signed to Steady:Hyperactive and had amassed over 2000 streams on soundcloud. He has been building with Steady:Hyperactive ever since. “FIYOW” is his 5th studio album.
