Hugo Fuego Releases New Single Houston feat. Juice Potter

Hugo Fuego and Juice Potter start the year off with a bang.

Hugo Fuego had a great 2021. From developing his talent as a recording artist, dropping his official merch line, and releasing an impromptu music video shot in Los Angeles by the talented Rari Digital, the Newark, NJ artist gave fans everything they were looking for in yet another challenging pandemic year.

Just when Hugo Fuego’s supporters thought that Ride The Wave was the only single we were getting for awhile, the energetic artist dropped Houston on New Year’s Day featuring fellow New Jersey native Juice Potter. Both managed by Marvianna Gray, the chemistry was already there. The way Hugo Feugo and Juice Potter play off of each other might be second only to Shaq and Kobe.

After admittedly taking music more seriously for about two years now, Hugo Fuego is here to shake sh*t up, and the same goes for Juice Potter. Since New Jersey isn’t known for one sound just yet, artists from the Garden State are able to experiment in a way that keeps the music fresh with every release.

While Ride The Wave was a melodic summer record, Houston is much more gritty. The song immediately takes on an ominous vibe from the very first chord progression.  As soon as Hugo Fuego starts the chorus, you can feel the anticipation of a bomb about to drop. His rawness sets the stage for an aggressive trap single you definitely want to throw on around the gang.

Juice Potter gets the first verse and does what he does best. What stands out the most is definitely his flow and delivery. His cadence gives the track a memorable bounce that will keep you coming back for more. He raps about his lifestyle, dealings with grimey people, and his climb to the top of the game. If you enjoyed Juice Potter’s verse, check out his single ‘Sauce Pt. 2’ here.

Hugo Fuego takes us home with verse two, coming on the track sounding like a loose cannon. With his energy on one hundred as usual, Fuego’s brother, also from Newark, New Jersey, gets a shoutout during the intense verse. Hugo makes sure to let us know he’s about money and respect at the end of the day.

Hugo Fuego and Juice Potter’s ability to complement each other on this track is something special. It sounds like they challenged one another to bring their best verses out, and that’s exactly what happened. They chose a fire instrumental that highlighted their strengths in different ways. Juice Potter showed his ability to find the best flow to make you dance, while Fuego’s pure energy and passion compel the listener to feel every word.
