BabyDior Is Next Up Out Of Memphis

When a rising star goes missing, the first question that fans ask is “Who will hold it down while they’re gone?”. This question flies us down to Memphis. Although Pooh Shiesty is taking some time off, fellow Memphis artist BabyDior is stepping up to the plate. He’s ready to accept the challenge of picking up where Pooh left off. His recent single “Free Shiesty Flow” is a great example of this.

BabyDior Gets Ready To Takeover Memphis

The Memphis artist raps over the “Back in Blood” instrumental and comes out the gate letting us know two things:

  1. The Dodge SRT is the official car of Memphis
  2. There isn’t much to talk about with his opps

Throughout the rest of the song, Baby doesn’t pull back from letting his opps know the consequences of trying him the wrong way. Don’t let those details distract you from the fact that BabyDior is a real rapper. He has lines in his songs that show he cares about the craft and is putting effort in to his lyricism. That can’t always be said for a lot of other trap artists with a similar sound. “In the studio catching everything / bitch I’m like Julio” was one of my favorite lines. Along with direct lines like “You think I’m a bitch cuz I’m handsome / I’ll cut off your throat” from his other single “Coming out the YO”.

Baby also describes how chasing your dreams and rising to fame can make life difficult. He says “Ain’t been to the hood in a gahdamn minute / they saying Baby don’t fuck with his folks”. While I’m sure that’s not the case, this is definitely a topic BabyDior should explore more on future songs. Tapping into that vulnerability will push BabyDior to become a multi-faceted artist. Hopefully, this will bring his fans closer to his world and help them understand him more – both the good and the bad.

BabyDior – Comin Out The Yo

The music video for Comin Out The Yo dropped just seven days ago, so you’re still early. Laced in an all red Nike Tech, BabyDior rides through the city showing fans what he’s all about. Get ready for the coveted Memphis flow as IsaiahRayPearce catches great scenes with even cooler edits. BabyDior’s beat selection will remind you of all of the artists putting in work to shape the sound coming out the city. Moneybagg Yo, Pooh Shiesty, NLE Choppa, and Key Glock just to name a few. We can’t talk about Memphis without giving our condolences to the late Young Dolph who we lost to gun violence only a short time ago.

With just three songs on DSPs, BabyDior is getting his feet planted to make a jump for more Memphis notoriety in 2022. Staying safe and doubling down on a strong work ethic is certainly a recipe to get there!
