Being a hot commodity isn’t all glitz and glamour. At least, that’s what Judge Kimosabi and Holden Stach proclaim in “Jupiter Is Calling.”
Holden Stach goes first on the record and uses an ethereal range to say that something can be taken away from everything meant to destroy him.
“I’m disconnected, (connected)/ Seeing colors and shapes, I’m misdirected (directed)/No direction,” he delivers.
Shortly after, Judge Kimosabi comes in strong, telling off women who think they can trick him. He makes it clear that he’s primarily focused on getting a bag. Since others are so hard to trust nowadays, the rapper also alludes that he’s staying close to his day ones. He adds that his relentless grind propels him to go after his wants/needs.
“The only thing I see is green/Only wanna live this dream/Feelings never made me nothing/Fake love like Mclovin’,” he spits.
Judge Kimosabi also raps,
“I told you all I’m a dreamer/The underdog, the underachiever/Ain’t no dream too far for a reacher.”
Later, the MC gets lost in his vices before detailing his versatility. He continues to showcase his constant grind, retaliating against all negativity/hate.
He drops,
“Gotta hustle if you wanna reach this time zone/At the bottom of the mountain as I climb home/I got haters hating me steady, send em all my way cause I’m ready/Got me paper chasing I’m deadly, stack my paper up to the moon.”
He then declares that he’ll always support his hometown. The artist asks that others treat him as they did before his fame.
Holden Stach brings the song to a close. He wonders how to adapt to the shifts around him and asks for time to deal with it.
Sonically, the nearly three-minute record hones in on trap elements with a galactic influence.
