Does Yung Agapius from Brooklyn have a hit on his hands? Stream Bens n 50s below.
Yung Agapius has been on one all 2021, and it’s time to take notice. In just four months, one of the latest singles from the high spirited artist has passed over 20K streams (and counting). The SoundCloud comments are full of love; complementing Agapius’ flow, beat selection, and unique vocal melodies. Throw this song on whenever you want to turn up, and Agapius’ melodies and energy will get you in the right mood.
We know this is just the beginning for the talented musician, and Bens n 50s may be his first smash of many. The emerging artist flexes strong hitmaking ability over a string filled instrumental crafted by Getro, Quantich, and Lorentz. Agapius raps lines about flossin’ with his team, doing donuts in a hellcat, and rocking just enough designer to let people know he’s in his own lane.
Ultimately, the Brooklyn NY artist is dedicated to the grind and won’t let up until the fruits of his labor are here. Agapius also drops a subtle line about being stuck in his head with nobody trying to help him. I am sure listeners will look forward to hearing the more vulnerable side of Agaipus through his lyricism in addition to the hard hitting party records.
The single may remind you of other NY melodic rappers such as A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie or Lil Tjay, but Yung Agapius’ stage presence at live shows is what will set him apart. To understand the true essence of ‘Bens n 50s’, you’ll have to catch a performance at one of the many events in the New York City underground music scene.
