Oftentimes, we are forced to deal with the cards that life throws at us. Sure, we have lessons or individuals that lead us along the way. But, in most experiences, we have to discover how to take the good with the bad. One person who provides us with an inspirational story about this very dilemma is XavierTheRapper. He also assists this short story with a song titled “Won’t Change,” which speaks about the anguish that comes with being criticized or looked down on by individuals who refuse to see a person for who they truly are.
In his story, My Life Coping with Depression and Multiple Sclerosis, the lyricist speaks about the day depression crept up in his life, being repeatedly rejected by others who wouldn’t give him a chance, a Drake concert in California that inspired him to make music.
Moreover, XavierTheRapper writes about how he found out about having multiple sclerosis, moving as a child and as an adult, and musical elevation. Even when he lost hope, there were significant moments that reminded him why he shouldn’t. XavierTheRapper’s song “Won’t Change” and a mention from Complex Media ultimately served as his solace.

He adds, “I believe my story will help many people worldwide, especially the younger crowd that follows me.”
“Won’t Change” is a somber-like lo-fi offering that sees XavierTheRapper using open rhymes about fighting through the pain yet still feeling torn apart because of it.
“Trying to move forward, but they think I’m so strange. One more year, man, I’m feeling so vain. Lied to myself saying this year might change,” he expresses.
Though the titular character in this story tries to look on the bright side, it seems that rain clouds tend to intervene. However, XavierTheRapper is here to remind us that there’ll always be a silver lining. The song is assisted by an animated black and white short. In the flick, we see a girl battling with demons and being put down by others. But in the end, she realizes that there is still hope.
