WHAT YOU DON’T ALREADY KNOW WITH ALREADY LATE

 

Already Late is a band shaped by a long list of genres and genders based in NYC. On top of a variety of guitars, catchy hooks (in both English and Japanese), funky bass lines and drum beats as energized as a riot at a punk rock show, they have managed to find spots in their set for electronics, as well as some ukulele. Thanks to their genre-crossing and bilingual–tracks, their eccentric live shows promise to excite a diverse range of crowds.

What should fans be listening to of yours right now?

 

B-STIXX: Our debut album LITTLE KID DREAMS should be the hot sounds of the city, It has a little something for everyone!

 

JEST A KING: Our latest album, Little Kid Dreams

 

How has the reception been to new music?

 

B-STIXX: I think people are really digging it. I remember when we dropped our album, people were asking for more, which is wild because it took us 2 years to finish it. We are currently working on new stuff and can’t want to show everyone.

 

JEST A KING: We have fans now, haha

 

What are you looking forward to most when you perform in front of an audience this year?

 

B-STIXX: I really enjoy the simple things, like when people jam out to our shows or even sing along. I can’t wait for more of that and can’t wait to meet more of our fans.

 

JEST A KING: Seeing people not behind a computer screen!

 

What was the intention set for your music?

 

B-STIXX: The intention was to show that you shouldn’t care what people think or worry about social pressures, especially the Gatekeepers. If there is something you want to make, do it. Most importantly, do it for you and let it come from you. 

 

JEST A KING: We’re just looking for people who like what we like 

 

What was the most important message to impart with your music?

 

B-STIXX: The intention with our music is to invite anyone and everyone! If you ever felt like an outcast or a LOSER, please know, there is a space for you here! 

 

JEST A KING: “let’s have a good time”

 

How do you want your fans to treat themselves after listening to your music?

 

B-STIXX: With our music, we want our fans to truly embrace who they are. We want them to tell their little kid selves that it’s okay and they are loved! Our music is a safe space.

What is a song of yours that you have on repeat right now to set the mood for 2022?

 

B-STIXX: Our song FRAIL! 1) because it’s probably one of my favorite songs off of our debut album LITTlE KID DREAMS and 2) it will make sense later 🙂
