Walkdown Will Scores A Hit With “My Guys”

Surpassing one million views, Washington DC-native Walkdown Will has a hit on his hands.
The first thing you’ll notice about “My Guys” is a chilling piano sample that will set the tone for the entire track. The hard hitting drums come in as Walkdown Will begins the chorus, letting us know exactly what his crew is about as the song title suggests. Walkdown Will’s flow and cadence are so in sync with the instrumental that it sounds like the beat was made specifically for him. No stranger to the drill or trap sound, Walkdown Will rhymes about his credibility in the streets and with the ladies, all while flexing money and jewelry in the “My Guys” official video. The opposition can’t do anything but look on while Walkdown Will runs up a bag with his guys.
Walkdown Will’s calm delivery balances nicely with his aggressive lyrics (‘glock bake a n*gga ass like hot fries’). As the DC artist carves out his spot in the drill/trap genre of hip-hop, we look forward to seeing how he’ll set himself apart from the pack.
