Verndolla$ – “Green Goblin”

Verndolla$ tells off opps that are bound to get dusted in “Green Goblin.” In other words, the New York-based emcee has chosen violence. Not by choice but rather by the smack talkers’ actions. He drops these blunt bars over a brooding trap beat. 

Vernolla$, in every sense of the word, is unbothered. He showcases this nonchalant attitude toward haters and other time-wasters. However, once the musician feels that he cares way too much, that’s when he has to check himself. 

In the very first excerpt from “Green Goblin,” he even says, “I just gave a f*ck a lil bit/This shit disgusting.” Afterward, he drops a few promising words aimed at the antagonists. 

Despite the ill words being thrown his way, Verndolla$ will remain focused. Also, he vows to forever stay on his P’s and Q’s. 

“No, no, no /I can’t show no love/That’ll get me killed,” he spits. “Uh-huh/You do what you can/I do what I will.” 

Verndolla$ finishes the song by going L for L with a woman he’s fond of. All-in-all, he pushes the notion of caring less about opinions. In hindsight, the rapper expresses the importance of doing you.
