Vanityy – “ALL I DO”

Vanityy calls out a man she thought the world of in her latest single, “ALL I DO.” Over the nostalgic, symphony-led R&B beat, the singer-rapper opens up about her now ex-boyfriend’s betrayal. She’s fed up with his mistreatment towards her, and now, she’s calling him out on it.

Tapping into her powerhouse vocals, she delivers, “No pun intended/Your spite is consistent.”

As the song continues, we get a better understanding of their relationship. From the start, Vanityy showered her man with love and was ready to walk down the aisle. Her past sweetheart, on the other hand, was “moving like it’s a game.” She questions his actions and why he felt the need to do her wrong. Additionally, the songstress gets down to the real issue that occurred.

Thinking back on what could’ve indicated the downfall of their relationship, she sings

Love seems faint/Thinkin’ we could have it all/But insecurities had control.

Regardless of this unfortunate outcome, Vanityy knows she gave it her all. Once he realizes that the grass isn’t greener on the other side, it’ll be far too late to reconcile.

Towards the middle, the crooner effortlessly spits bars about their commitments toward one another. Also, Vanityy iterates how he fumbled a more authentic side of love. The only thing that mattered, for Vanityy at least, was staying together and building a solid partnership.

“This pictures so tragic, dramatic,” she sings at the end.

The music video, directed and shot by MAJ Beam and Mike Forever, finds Vanityy at the mall with her bae. Once he starts acting strange, she takes his phone and discovers his infidelity. In another scene, she plays the piano and belts her heart out.

Vanityy is a hard-working and highly stylish artist. She carries a strong pitch that’s described as soulful. The singer can write over pretty much any beat. As of late, she’s honed into acting.

In the future, expect Vanityy to drop new merch. Recently, she wrapped up a dope event with 5 Star Most and got the chance to link up with George Floyd’s brother, Terrance Floyd.
