Hi Everyone
Here is another Week of the MONTH of September 2022, we are presenting our Top Artists of the Week Series 2 for your entertainment and fun. There are lesson to learn from each other as you look and listens to one another’s tracks. The selections are simply our opinion. All artists are great and super professionals in their calling.
How we select top artists.
Indeed, there are many interesting things that my job involves listening to live concerts by solo artists and ensembles whom we might showcase on a weekly series. You can learn a lot from watching their video or audio recording of course, but not everything. In fact, the most important thing you can learn from these commercial or demo recordings is that a particular musician or ensemble is probably not destined for the priority list.
In recent weeks we have found ourselves with the opportunity to hear quite a few concerts, live bands, and recorded works from different artists. It got us thinking about what criteria are we going to rank and prioritize each artist. We have narrowed it down to 3 areas: technique, interest (substance), and communication.
Technical ability is probably the least important, simply because there’s such a high level of proficiency among professional soloists and ensembles these days. Indeed, it’s probably fair to say that if you ever get the impression at a concert that a piece of music is really difficult and pushing the performer(s) to their limit, then it’s probably more a reflection on the limitations of the artist than the technical problems of a piece of music. Great performances usually transcend technical difficulties.
So, the more important question is whether a performance is interesting, meaning does it capture people’s attention, and unlocks their imagination? That comes down to choices a musician makes around musical colors and textures, variation, consistency of approach, creating tension, the overall shape of a piece, tastefulness, and context. Much of this is subjective, which is why it’s okay, indeed healthy, for people to disagree after a video, or live stage watch – whether they liked it or not.
Thirdly, there’s the issue of communication. Unlike a recording, an artist or ensemble on stage with a live audience has to acknowledge the audience is there and perform for them. Singers maybe have the advantage of words to articulate, but instrumental music is a language too, and the live concert experience is about communicating.
The most memorable concerts we have attended are those at which that communication has been strong and convincing. There are many, many musicians and ensembles across the world who deliver at the highest level. Our lives are more enriched by having exposure to them.
Here are the TOP ARTISTS of the Week – Series 2
Fior – Serotanin
Instagram: http://instagram.com/iamfior
Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2inylMJPp78wI0xHVSOQzB
Fior is a multi-talented artist and Miami-based Pop-Alternative singer. Fior may be a relative newcomer to the music scene, but her relatable lyrics and alluring vocals make her sound like a seasoned pro. On her latest single, “Serotonin”, she continues her thoughtful lyricism paired with an emotional and authentic delivery.
Fior was named one of People magazine’s ‘Emerging Artists to Watch’ this Spring. Fior is an independent artist, Fior, makes sleek, beat-driven, pop-infused music with elements of R&B, rock, and soul. There’s a modern, atmospheric quality to her sound, where trap beats and symphonic swells provide a rich textural backdrop for her lush, agile vocals.
Inspired by real life, her lyrics celebrate the kind of vulnerability that leads to strength, encouraging listeners to accept emotions and embrace the importance of speaking your mind. “Romantic attraction is a mysterious chemistry”, says Fior when asked about the meaning behind the new single ‘Overdose’.
“There’s been a theme in the four singles I’ve released this year about breaking free from the cycle of a toxic relationship,” Fior reveals. “Young love is confusing and challenging. “Serotonin” is the final nail in the coffin of that relationship.
She is Self-Taught beginning at 8 years old, Fior started her musical journey playing songs by ear on a toy piano. Developing her own style along the way, she began to write her own lyrics and make original beats, which set her on a path to making music her chosen profession. Along the way, she developed her characteristic vocal tone, blending husky alto vibrato with a uniquely soulful timbre.
Martian Man – Abyss V2
Martian Man’s track is about how his actions have been the result of losing his friends and thereafter offer an apology that comes straight from the soul. He’s looking for some feedback, advice, and a way to expand his audience.
Ideally, people come to Hip Hop to get the real. A piece of music that is an authentic and powerful approach to making something the listener can feel. That type of Hip Hop will always be the mecca of this genre, with that powerful feel in not only on the emceeing but the production as well, to make something true for the listener. That sound purists will love shines through on a new song from Martian Man called “Abyss V2”.
LJak – I’ll Be

LJak is an artist based in the United States.
LJak is producer of “I’ll Be” which has a flow and a vibe that will captivate his audience.
Really, to stand out as an artist you have to have a presence to you. Commanding energy to you that as soon as you speak on a track, everyone knows you’re the person that they came to hear. That is a major factor in standing out in a time when music can seem so crowded, but LJak sounds like a true stand-out on his new song “I’ll Be”. Listen to the song.
Lobato – Hey Jude
Lobato is an artist and one of the most versatile up and coming artists in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, who knows how to explore the different faces of rap. He develops in boombap, trap and drill, but in his new song “Hey Jude” he brings reflexively intimate lyrics and an ethereal sound that, playing with pauses and keywords, refers, breaks and creates an experience between the sound and silence.
The creative intention when writing the song and idealizing the visuals was to bring the listener closer to his own perceptive universe. By building an audiovisual universe, through the choice of scenarios and the content of the lyric, “Hey Jude” talks about the reality as it presents itself to the singer and about the desire to overcome it.
When referring to an aquarium, it is in line with social and introspective criticism. Between criticism and his life, he builds a proposal by the name of Lobato, who uses his productions as a channel for the expression of internal content – without forgetting the wit of a young Brazilian artist. The beat produced by Marcelo Horta praises – instead of the notes – the pauses that intertwine the lines of the graves and the creative arrangements.
Bighomiekayden – Invincible

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2ggR0VWGPlBDcAgL74HYTh?si=kl4rVWfLTp-BTSP24lVb8A
BigHomieKayden is an artist and a 25-year-old Bronx recording artist with a very versatile sound. He has created over 450 songs in his career and is ready to show the world his perspective and capabilities.
BigHomieKayden started rapping around the age of fifteen after gaining influence from legendary artists like Chief Keef and ASAP Rocky. After dropping his first ever mixtape “Blackie Robinson” that was a combination of old drill music and old NY sample music, BigHomieKayden progressed as an artist and strayed away from drill music to try for more melodic type sounds.
This song is one of his favorites off of his newest piece of work. This is titled “luv me l8tr” this is equally his 3rd project this year with co-signs from Fanum and fat Joe trying to get a different perspective of Bronx sounds.
BigHomieKayden continued to create music and improve his craft, but wasn’t too sure on how to make money off his music. When 2018 rolled around, BigHomieKayden found out he was expecting a kid and also went through some personal troubles that made him fall back on music for the time being.
Interestingly, when trying to stand out as an artist it’s important to let your talent shine to the fullest, but it’s also important to make music people can feel. That music with good content that you can relate to, and say with your chest as the music says everything that you feel. That type of music makes a personal connection with the listener, and is one of the many shining elements of Bighomiekayden’s song “Invincible”.

Ideally, one of the most refreshing things to hear in music present day is creativity. Being in a time where a lot of music sounds the same to the point it all can flow together at times, it’s always great to hear a record that gives you that fresh reminder, of not only the power of an original sound but also why we all fell in love with music in the first place. That type of magic is what takes place in this new song from Dulce Man on the new song “POP IT”.

Vontred is an artist and produced this song spit from the heart, where every word matters. Part of the “Dark Corners of a Broken Mind” project, 36 minutes of deep, personal topics delivered in dope bars. While his strength lies in music, promotion and publicity are is biggest weaknesses. This is where he needs your help. He knows there are people who would like his music.
Vontred’s “Nihilistic Death bed” is an impressive project from the artist who is set to take off and bring more life to the culture of Hip Hop and Rap. He marvels in being able to bring great lyricism that can be a lost art in today’s climate, to make something truly refreshing for fans of the art while still bringing hits to make sure this project touches as many ears as it deserves.

Michel D.I.O.R is a Franco-Ivorian artist born on June 18 1993 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. After a childhood cradled by the sounds and rhythms of African women, in the tropical heat of the Ivory Coast, he left his native country at the age of 7 to flee the war which bursts there. It was then in Strasbourg, the capital of Europe, that he will continue to grow and increase his passion for art and music.
It was during a return to the country of his origins that he makes the decision to stop his studies and leaves his school of commerce to devote himself entirely to music. He then discovered Ableton and began his first beats; over the months, he perfected his method and finds his style in order to offer more and more beats more work mixing both his African origins and his American hip-hop influences.
He then expresses his art by creating the first-time-only beats he offers to artists and Ivorian, European, and American rappers. It was in 2018 that he met the Lyon rapper PAPS whom he proposes to produce an album: it is the birth of HYPNOSIS.
Album combining rap and electro-pop sounds, the mixture of two artists creates a craze and allows them to perform several times on stage by doing the first parts of LONESPI and 47TER. In 2020, he made the decision to write his own texts and to use his beats to create a universe that is his own.
In January 2022, Michel D.I.O.R was born: author, composer, performer, and producer. His multiple skills allow you to be a complete and autonomous artist, ready to conquer the music scene.
Curious but above all a perfectionist, Michel D.I.O.R seeks to master all areas relating to his art to gain complete artistic autonomy. Producer, songwriter, performer and engineer of sound, he is also responsible for the artistic direction of his live performances and its video clips and designs its own clothes to fully claim their style and control its image and personality.
From singing to rapping, from French to English, from trap to electro, the mixture of styles and influences leads to a unique flow that can reach a wide audience.
