“Tomorrow” is just a slither of Saegin’s potential.
Saegin Geum’s musical ability cannot be ignored. One verse in, Saegin will remind you of all time greats like Michael Jackson, early Chris Brown, Raphael Saadiq, with a little dose of Tony! Toni! Toné. If those comparisons don’t get your attention, I don’t know what will! While those are huge shoes to follow, I would not bring those names up if I did not truly mean it.
Every single component of this song was very crucial from the beat to the melody, along with the ad-libs towards the very end. For the last twenty seconds or so, Saegin shows off more range closing the track with adlibs reminiscent of old-school jazz and scat music. But it is his voice throughout the track that seals the deal, along with his delivery. I truly believe that Saegin has the potential to restore R&B right back to its rightful place. He possesses the ability to coast along R&B/soul and pop genres with limitless upside. In the “Tomorrow” music video, we also get a glimpse of an artist who isn’t afraid to perform. The swagger is there and so is the confidence. This is the kind of artist that can keep listeners engaged throughout an entire track and captivated at an actual show. All Saegin Geum needs is an opportunity, and the rest will be history. We will be hearing a lot more from Saegin Geum.
