It’s time you get to know Alabama rising artist STA KT.
Approaching 20,000 views on YouTube, his single ‘Going Under’ has definitely been making waves. Over mellow chords, STA KT lets us know what he’s been feeling lately in his lyrics. He raps about friends switching up in your circle, feeling misunderstood, and not trusting everyone around you.
STA KT tells the opps he has ‘fire sticks’ for anyone who wants to cross him. He opens up to the fans on this track and details some of the pain he’s been feeling, letting it all out in the studio but never quitting. How did you get in to music?
‘I’ve always liked listening to music ever since I was young. I always knew I wanted to do something bigger than life and better than a 9-5. At 16 i took myself to the studio and it’s been history since.’
Describe this song for the fans?
‘Going Under is the song people seem to like the most and I like it too, it’s a mix of rarity and melodic rap with my own dab on it that nobody can bite.’
How did the video come about?
‘The video came about when I dropped my very first e.p. called “Before The Fame”, I was shooting videos to every song and didn’t really have a place in mind so I just went to the sewer [lmao].’
Any new drops to look forward to?
‘New drops, new music coming very soon. Run them numbers up on the tape. I got back to back visuals dropping!’
