New Jersey-based musician, Spencer Gowen, speaks on unrequited love in his new song, “No Tomorrow.” At most, the track is an alternate R&B offering with upbeat elements, including a booming bassline and xylophone and piano loops.
As he crossovers between a melodic and mile-a-minute cadence, the “Blue Rain” lyricist details the differences that made him second guess his relationship with another. He raps, “Never real with yourself/Fear what you felt mirrors someone else. I am me.”
Deeper into the song, Spencer gets introspective, saying, ” I just don’t know, where I’m going now, times they don’t know, I almost ended it, no tomorrow is how I’m living it.”
In summary, he shows that there’s power in being honest, but most of all, true to yourself.
