Prlm Chld Drops New Single ‘Dolce’ & Teases New EP Humble Beginnings

“Dolce” is the latest release from the genre-bending duo known as Prlm Chld. Based in Philadelphia, Scottie Kash and Pride Zu come together for an island inspired end of summer banger with a message. The duo is no stranger to ups and downs, just like the rest of us. The song calls for your loved ones and those closest around to stick along for the ride no matter how bumpy it gets. If you can stomach it, Dolce & Gabanna and the other luxuries of life might be right around the corner.
The creative R&B/Hip-Hop fusion group is capable of many things. One thing they can’t do is be put in to a box. If you’ve been following their career, you know that Prlm Chld has hit records across multiple genres (check out “Gone” below). The magic comes from divine chemistry that Scottie and Zu have been cultivating since second grade. Not to mention, they are able to produce everything in house. Zu is not only an artist, he is also a producer, keyboardist, and engineer. His skillset compliments Scottie Kash’s star power and rapping ability very well.

After listening to a couple singles from the group, I had to find out a bit more about their artistry. Both with Caribbean roots, Scottie Kash and Pride Zu felt right at home on an afrobeat influenced single. I’m definitely looking forward to more music from the Philadelphia based duo ahead of their upcoming EP titled Humble Beginnings set to release later this year. How did you guys meet?
PRLM CHLD “We originally met back in elementary school in 2nd Grade to be exact. Then years later we reconnected through mutual mentors on some crazy shit & thats when PRLM CHLD was born.. seems like it was meant to be. Divine intervention vibes.”

What are some strengths that each of you bring to the table? How do you guys compliment each-other?
PRLM CHLD “Well Pride is a super fire producer, engineer and keyboard player along with his crazy vocals & bars. Scottie brings the creative direction, graphics & merch to life along with vibey melodies & dope flows.. we just know how to bounce off each other & we connected to each other stories so it’s easy.”

Seems like afrobeat and the island sound comes natural to you both. What are your ethnicities?
PRLM CHLD “Scottie is Jamaican and Zu is from North Philly but we all really come from the same place at heart so the pulse of the motherland lives in us for real. I guess that’s why it comes natural especially for Scottie who grew up in a Caribbean house hold on all the classic Reggae vibes.”

What motivates you to keep going?
PRLM CHLD “Our motivation really just comes from knowing that we here living for a purpose which is to connect everybody that we can through our music. We here to be a true example of what it is to overcome the limitations that people and life can put on you.”

How important is trust among each other for a music duo or group?
PRLM CHLD “Trust is really everything! Not only are we here to grow this brand and get this music heard. We here to grow as men, so without being able to trust each other and have grace for each other we wouldn’t even be here today.. and that translates right into the music. We’ve created some of the most fire songs just from trusting each other’s visions constantly.”

What inspires you outside of music?
PRLM CHLD “To be honest we really inspired by life in general from the big shit to the small. We just inspired by everything we experienced.”

PRLM CHLD “More chunes fah ya head top! Expect more music, more videos and more fire content we putting the pedal to the metal forreal. The Humble Beginnings EP is on the way.”
