Ozzy Allan‘s bass-heavy animated hip-hop offering, “Ceiling,” highlights the power behind self-evolution and perseverance.
“The song is about my feelings towards my before and after mindset from starting music,” he says about the record.
While using a charged-up melodic cadence, Ozzy Allan raps about feeling invisible after letting go of the things holding him back from growing. The next couple of lyrics showcases Ozzy Allan’s love for foreign whips and no-nonsense approach toward the opps. The San Diego-based rapper even talks about dominating the hip-hop industry.
“Yeah crack down, get christened like Will Smith did/Lil boy keep talking Chris,” he delivers. “Rap game cutthroat for that bag though/Grab that knife and then twist.”
“Ceiling” also finds Ozzy Allan telling his ex-fling they can never be an item again.
As the song continues, Ozzy Allan describes how his haters get dealt with before detailing his “all work and no play” mentality.
He spits, “Lil’ man get dropped in the street/That man gets crossed talkin’ sweet/One click will turn that boy silent/Just like I’m pausin’ the beat.”
“Keep work, and the rest finna stack up,” he continues later in the verse. “Counting/I’m doin my math (yuh).”
The song’s chorus takes a page from Ozzy Allan’s innermost thoughts about succeeding. At one point, the rapper felt that his priorities didn’t align with his goal to strike it big.
