Oshay The Villain refuses to believe that a relationship he once had is officially over in “If I Did 2 Much.”
Supported by a dancehall instrumental, the musician reaffirms his lover’s change of heart about getting back together. However, he seemingly takes note of how her actions say otherwise. He lays it all on the line using an autocroon delivery.
“How you gon’ tell me that them drunk nights/Didn’t mean none,” he expresses.
Afterward, Oshay The Villain admits why he’s been putting in a solid effort to make amends.
“All I wanted was one more chance/To learn how to love you and be better/Than we are/She said I did too much/I’m just trying to show you how much/I love you and what I wanted,” he spits.
Although his former flame says they’re done for good, Oshay doesn’t believe this assertion. The “Survive” artist then tries to reason with her by explaining how he’d be a better partner. Nothing (or no one) is getting in the way of their romance.
As the song carries on, he asserts that he can’t wait on her to realize where her love lies forever. If she chooses to date another man, he’s out of the picture. Still, the musician believes they belong together. The song continues with Oshay explaining why they make the perfect pair.
