NxG – “Mismatch”

NxG details the pros and cons of being a man about his business in “Mismatch.” Matching the energetic, poppy, bass-heavy trap beat produced by Bugz Ronin, Rio Leyva, and Nick Mira, the Philadelphia-based MC uses a nasally, animated cadence to speak his truth.

In nearly two minutes, the rapper addresses opps who “want a part in all my moves cause of the way that I’m living.”

From the start, he raps about his undeniable charisma and how it can stir up some unnecessary drama. Yet, despite being money-oriented, random ladies continue to throw themselves at him. NxG’s severe focus to get a bag also triggers haters to test his gangsta.

“She won’t leave me alone, always on my phone/I ain’t got to do much to keep her attached/Too much designer I gotta mismatch,” he raps. “Now I ain’t been lit for a minute but they be all in my business/Ever since they seen a nigga is gifted they wanna stay close cause I get me the chicken.”

Clearly unfazed by their sorry attempts at bringing him down, NxG uses lyrical ammo to give them a reality check.

But you niggas you don’t got no vision/And I came out the cut like incision/Why you love to talk cap/Yeah we know that’s an act boy we see right through your fiction,” he raps.

Afterward, he breaks down his retaliation method and follows up with bars about applying pressure and reaping those benefits. Next, the “Vagabond” spitter unveils that he doesn’t hang with individuals who aren’t pushing themselves to success. The verse ends with confident bars about NxG’s drip, loyalty, and fortune.

He spits, “I’m rocking designer galore/Chilled at the top with my feet up you know that’s a must/Brought all my niggas right with me/Of course you can look little baby but no you can’t touch/I heard your new shit I was bored/Riding my wave like ‘all aboard’/I be rocking the shit you can’t afford.”

“Mismatch” arrives on the heels of his latest single, “Next Up,” in collaboration with emerging underground Hip Hop artist iayze, and “Outta Here Soon,” an 8-track EP in partnership with Philly Producer Collective Working on Dying, executive produced by Grammy Nominated FAXONLY
