NIC MAG is a Los Angeles area native who spent his early years growing up in Gardena and Compton during the 1990s. Later, he relocated with his parents to Missouri where he spent the rest of his adolescence growing up.
Even though NIC MAG is known to deliver nothing less than lyrically phosphorus mind stimulation on banging production all by his lonesome in the Hip-Hop underworld, he lets his fellow rhyme brother spit an acidic 8-bar fury on his single “Triumph All Obstacles” (TAO). This is bound to be a playlist favorite for many.
After taking a hiatus from Hip-Hop due to teaching youth in Missouri and Georgia schools, it wasn’t until he returned to his West Coast native stomping grounds that he would reemerge as the nice emcee he always was by dropping mixtapes comprised of all solo tracks except when collaborating with his long-time rhyme partner and rap artist, MISSISSIPPI THE TRUTH.
“Triumph All Obstacles” (abbreviated as TAO) Recordings is an independent record label that was created to give a bigger voice to rap musicians who truly valued their craft in the areas of lyricism, clever rhymes, and literary devices while maintaining rhythmic flow on stellar production.
