Delivering his lyrics in a soulful range, he reflects on his exes’ actions and the truer nature of their relationship. The R&B trap beat is a solid foundation for Michael Aguilar to express how he truly feels.

The first verse finds Michael expressing how his lady can turn from sweet to sour instantly. Her hot-and-cold behavior makes him wonder how she can change like the seasons.

He sings,

She started off sweet talking like a pro (like a pro)/Two tone call/Would never even think she’d do me wrong/List them off (made a list for me)/She switched it up quick listing every problem, every problem.”

By the second verse, he begins questioning his role as a boyfriend. He also wonders if his views on love have been altered due to this on-and-off relationship. Michael begins to resent her for how she’s been treating him. The impact is so severe that he even contemplates his future.

He passionately sings, “I wish the worst, worst for her/I’m sorry.” Along with “Maybe she’s the reason I can’t lovе the same/Maybe she’s the reason I’m afraid of fame/Maybe she’s the reason I got scatterbrain second guessing all my takes.”

Regardless of his mixed emotions, Michael Aguilar still considers her his haven. The musician is stuck between letting go or moving on because he never really knows when it’s officially over.

Hit you back cuz I don’t like restarting/It’s 2:30 but pick up once for me/I’ll keep ringing like you gon’ sweet talk to me,” he croons sweetly.

The song closes with this phenomenal singer longing for closure. “Just wanna feel like we really closed the door,” he explains. “Cutting, don’t wanna go back running/Running back like nothing.”
