Mia Ayana Releases New EP “WAVES”

Mia Ayana’s compelling new project Waves euphorically brings to life feelings of intimacy and intoxication combined, creating a mystical sound sure to take listeners higher. The title of the project, Waves, describes Mia’s constant battle with herself and her desire to mediate frequencies that seem out of her control. Simply put, she’s illustrating her battle with life, depression, and the substitutes she uses to get through.

“I named this project Waves to illustrate the unending frequencies I encounter on this lifelong journey of finding myself,” Mia said. “I find happiness, pain, and peace in the Waves and I think each song on this project describes that perfectly.”

Mia’s sound is rooted in the heart of the South, growing up in Mississippi singing in church, on the school bus, and anywhere else she could. Her drive for her craft led her from Mississippi to Seattle to Chicago to Las Vegas to Los Angeles all within two years. She found her niche in Los Angeles and doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.

Inspired by classic 90s R&B acts such as SWV, TLC and current artists like Jhene Aiko and Summer Walker, we can’t wait to see what Mia Ayana has in store for the future. Stay tuned!
