Lucas Oliver leads his lyrics with transparency in “Find The Time / DoubleDip.”

The first record is an intergalactic-styled trap beat that finds Lucas Oliver and Carson Dulaney going the distance to get closer to their sweetheart. In their unique melodic deliveries, both musicians intend to show this special someone how much they care.

From exotic trips to having heart-to-heart conversations, Lucas Oliver hopes this shows just an ounce of his devotion toward her. While he’s well aware of her busy schedule, the artist hopes she can pencil him in now and then.

In the chorus, Carson Dulaney requests, “Find the time/To get over to my house tonight/Girl I know you’re tryna catch a flight/But I can make it all worth your time.”

As the song progresses, Lucas Oliver looks to seal the deal. He wonders what her intentions are and if they’re past a rough period in their relationship. “Tell me how you feel/Are you feeling better? I doubt that things have changed/But you’re still wearing my sweater,” he spits smoothly.

He can look all around for the perfect woman. But, in theory, she’s been it all along. “Searchin’ something real/I don’t think I found that/Get right up and kneel/Lyrics make me fall flat.” Lucas Oliver reminds this lady that she can come to him for anything, anytime.

In the second verse, the musician looks to right his wrongs. Given the lyrical context, only time will tell their fate. “I know I left some scars and for that I am sorry/Take you on a date/I’ll eat you up like calamari,” he spits.

“DoubleDip” is a lo-fi cut that contrasts with the previous song’s concept. This time, Lucas Olivers turns off his emotions toward someone he once saw forever with. Insisting that he’s “pause(d) on my feelings like a Netflix video,” the rapper reclaims his power by putting matters in his hands. He shows no sympathy, going so far as to eat all her favorite food.

“Getting out of this is really weird like short-shorts/Get off my tail before I break check,” he raps.

Secondly, the lyricist spits,

And I’m eatin your Cheerios/Cereal/Captain Crunch hunch/With the sack Lunch Bunch/Like here we go/Pull the chair out/’Fore she sits down.”
