K Lane proclaims his top-tier status in the music industry is undeniable in “Run It Back.” Taking slight admiration from Jaheim’s “Put That Woman First,” the beat implements warm guitar loops, trap arrangements, and a wobbly bassline. Within one minute and forty-eight seconds, listeners learn about the rapper’s background. Additionally, they get a better understanding of what it’s like to live in his hometown.
The masterful wordsmith got ahead by working meticulously. In other words, he’s put blood, sweat, and tears into his musical journey.
He raps, “They told me go chase it/Believe in my vision/I take it/I make all the steps.”
Additionally, K Lane says that he doesn’t take on free work. Time is money, after all. “Run It Back” also sees the rapper speaking on people who switched on him for chump change and taking his W’s with grace. One notable detail in the song stems from his punchline involving words like “lucky” and “clover.”
