Jai Winter – “FEEL”

Jai Winter wonders what people would do if their confidant happened to turn their back on them in his newest single, “FEEL.”

In the jazzy Nico Beats Again-produced boom-bap offering, the Philadelphia MC analyzes the emotions that arise after someone is betrayed or heartbroken. He asks others to imagine themselves in these situations and offers some advice if they aren’t sure what to do. Drawing from personal experiences, Jai Winters maps out a plan to help them succeed.

While using a poetic flow, he raps “If you really had all of that love for yourself then you know you don’t really need nobody else/Focus on working and focus on healing/Let’s focus on building and stacking the wealth.”

From there, the rapper explains why he’s so knowledgeable in these predicaments, rhyming, “I can show you the cards in my hand/These the cards I was dealt/If I had a dollar for every heartbreak/I would break it and break it till I’m outta debt.”

Jai Winter then pushes positivity on listeners and motivates them to take the bad with the good.

Lyrics like “Can’t be upset with the life that you have/Only upset if you ain’t feeling blessed/You could be 6 in the dirt or the back of a hearse,” bring the narrative home.

Overall, “FEEL” is about picking yourself off the ground after being pushed down by someone you swore would always have your back. After all, we all have one life to live and one chance to make the most of it.
