IN THE STUDIO: EDDIE RAY ARNOLD

Originally from Colorado, Eddie Ray Arnold settled in North Georgia as a family man before bringing his modern style of 90s country music to the Music City, Nashville, Tennessee. With songs like his road trip anthem “Beautiful Day”,  and his single “What If I Don’t”, it’s evident that Eddie has something to say and knows how he wants to say it. When he takes the stage, Eddie’s high energy shows are fully intended to entertain and rock your country world

How do you plan to top your new music?

I’m in the studio right now working on some songs that people request the most at our live gigs. These are going to be great. Songs that shaped my musical style.

Current obsession with your music?
With my music? I like the direction I’m going musically. New songs and new co-writers. I have a few new songs that I can’t get out of my head. That’s a good thing. I’ve also been singing the National Anthem at some Middle Tennessee State University Basketball games. That’s been really cool. I’ve also been playing weekly at the world’s most famous Honky Tonk, Tootsie’s on Broadway in Nashville. That has been outstanding.

Current obsession outside of music?

We just moved into a new home so that has really taken up so much of my time and energy. Getting to know my new town, making new friends, meeting new people and getting to know artists and musicians I’ve been listening to for the last decade or so. As always, my family is my obsession and they’re a big part of this new chapter.

Any predictions one year from now?
I’ll be touring and playing in new markets and venues with new music.

What do you love to do on your days off when you want to unplug from music?

Can we really unplug from music? I’m not sure that’s possible. But I’m almost always spending time off with my family. Watching movies, fishing, enjoying the sites and local parks.
Anything you’re reflecting on from this past year?
My band and I had some memorable shows this year. The move to the Music City has been very memorable but my daughter graduated, my son started touring with various artists, my wife and I have transplanted ourselves in a new town. A lot has happened this past year. My faithful dog, companion, hiking partner, running mate, and friend passed away a few months ago and I know she would have loved our new place. We’ve put out some good music this year and I’ve met so many wonderful people. It’s been a year to remember that’s for sure.

How do we continue to support you?
Listen to my music, come to my shows, and buy merchandise. Tell your friends. Be active on social media getting my music out to more people who may end up being fans.
All of it starts on my website, eddierayarnold.com where you can sign up for my email list and get special discounts on merchandise, but all the links to my socials are on there. We have some new items in the online store this year so check those out. I’m pretty easy to find online for streaming or downloading. Every little bit helps keep this train moving forward and I am so thankful for everyone who supports me and my music.
