“IN THE AIR” – 2Floody Song Review by Natalee Gilbert

2Floody’s “IN THE AIR” takes the listening experience straight to a futuristic atmosphere full of truths and positive affirmations.

Driven by its synth waves and steady 808, “IN THE AIR” sees a self-encouraged version of 2Floody taking charge of his destiny, going for the kill, and reflecting on what he’s learned over the years. Through a staticky auto-tune, 2Floody celebrates his accomplishments early. He raps mid-chorus, “this gon’ be my year/pour me up some more/roll me up some more/Think I’m getting there.” But 2Floody addresses that not everyone is the biggest supporter either. Rather than take their hate personally, he takes it as someone being envious or in awe of his artistry. If there’s an issue, 2Floody will handle it.

Contrary to belief, however, 2Floody wants no bad blood between himself and his enemies. Deeper into the track you’ll hear him give an example: “take it slow and take it easy/Know I’m always in the field if you need me/If there’s smoke up in the air, come and see me/So delighted when a fan wanna meet me.” As “IN THE AIR” closes off, the static clears, and our ears wander off to the track’s electron waves. As a whole, 2Floody shows that if you speak things into existence, it’ll come true.

During his time as an unsigned artist, 2Floody has racked up 10 million streams on 20+ releases. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out his top-charted single, “Down Bad.”

Other Notable Lyrics, By The Editor

“Play me I’m on TMZ/ play her she on CNN/ fame is like a falling tree/ stack them leaves and gon’ win.”

2Floody let’s us know that entertaining negativity is a lose-lose situation for himself, either ending up on the blogs, TMZ or the news in a not so positive light.Once you get to the top, people want to see you fall. Through the ups and downs, Floody wants to stay focused on the bag so he can have the last laugh in the end.
