Flyboi Rell expresses his admiration for a woman who’s close to perfect in “Word Of Mouth.” The instrumental takes on a hazy approach to funky arrangements.
Using an autotune-like delivery, Flyboi Rell starts by embracing the blessings that have fallen into his lap. And while others might be envious of his success, he doesn’t let it get the best of him.
He delivers, “Standin’ strong cause life just workin’ out/Heard what you said, but I hate that word of mouth/Don’t worry bout it baby all the fame ain’t worth the clout.”
Deeper into the song, Flyboi Rell lists the qualities he possesses that make him an ideal partner. He urges his sweetheart to put her trust in him. Moreso, to take a chance on love. If she does decide to date, he’ll give her the finer things in life.
He declares, “Been told them that I need you/Now this a start like a sequel/I spotted you like an eagle/Let’s catch a movie like its Regal.”
This line is followed by Flyboi Rell’s comments about her physical assets. In all, he intends to love her the proper way. Before the song ends, Flyboi Rell takes pride in his artistry, saying
“Flexing on them so hard/Break on the mix, and we got a few tricks, and you know they gon’ dance to the song.”
