Ezra Vaia – “Fast Lane”

Ezra Vaia expresses his captivation toward a woman he wouldn’t mind going the distance for in “Fast Lane.” Over a dance-pop soundscape, Vaia details the moment she caught his eye. After learning that she wasn’t from his side of town, he made strong efforts to keep in contact. Like he says mid-chorus, “I’ve been livin in the fast lane/You can meet me halfway.”

Using a swift, melodic delivery, he says

Ya picture perfect Queen/$1000 dress it seems/Ya she way outta league/But she playing on my team/Said she gotta go now/Wait a minute slow down/She was only visiting I’ve just lost what I found/She lives 50 miles away, well is it worth it what can I say?

As the song continues, Ezra further elaborates on his sentiment toward her. Deeming her as “the one,” the musician recounts their special moments together.

I can feel the wind blowing, emotions growing/I can feel it in my soul/Losing all control,” he sings.

Even if she’s a thousand miles away, Ezra still feels her presence.

He portrays his excitement to see her in this line:

Sorry to keep you waiting/The cop stopped me at the light for speeding.”
