Tayski and D. Lawrence, the resilient Lawrence brothers, have woven an inspiring tale of triumph over adversity by establishing Dream Global Records in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant music scene. Starting with modest tools in their mother’s apartment – a PC and a microphone – the brothers have turned their struggles into a story of dedication, hard work, and unwavering determination.

Despite facing heart-wrenching challenges, including the tragic double homicide of their older brother and cousin in 2018 and the loss of over 50 friends to gun violence, Tayski and D. Lawrence have become symbols of inspiration for their community.

During the global pandemic, the Lawrence brothers saw an opportunity rather than a setback, breathing new life into Dream Global Records. Actively seeking and signing talented unsigned artists, their strategic approach bore fruit with the signing of Fort Worth native Splizzy, marking the label’s first significant breakthrough.

Splizzy’s journey, from the initial meeting at LAX to recording in Los Angeles’ prestigious Green Tea Studios, exemplifies the label’s commitment to catapulting emerging artists onto the global stage.
