Track 4 – How U Gon (feat. Chad Roto)
Track 5 – Get Away
What inspired this project? What can you tell us about it’s creation?
Don Don “This tape was made around the time that the protests for George Floyd were gaining momentum. It was a lot of light shed on police brutality, domestic violence, entanglements, and how our country is in a really bad ass spot. I just wanted to make a playlist people could drive around too, or sit in too. You can vibe and still stay focused on the fight.”
Tell us about your journey as an artist up to this point?
Don Don “I’ve been recording since 2010. In that span of time I’ve dropped 5 projects that are streaming everywhere, successfully sold merchandise throughout the country, and opened up for some very talented niggas like Big Sean, Eric Bellinger, Elhae, Tee Grizzley, and a lot of other successful people. As an independent artist I can never truly know when my time is coming, but staying consistent and true to my sound has helped me grow into an artist that’s prepared to break some records. At this point in my career, I’m locked in on dropping visuals, more merchandise, and collabing with more artists. Tell all ya friends about me.”
