“DAY ZERO” REVIEW

Contemporary band out of Los Angeles, KinderCrowdControl, released a new single, “Day Zero,” on May 3rd, 2021.

“Day Zero” was created at the behest of Sandra Ban, the celebrated Croatian artist and wordsmith of KinderCrowdControl, to bring awareness to the current global water crisis. The band was contacted to create a video to accompany the song which is scheduled to be aired at the “Day Zero Water Crisis Conference” in Italy. The video discusses how weather engineering is a core causal factor in the water shortages/droughts being seen around the globe.

It’s a very noble cause to be a part of. The water and climate crisis happening in our world is not a subject that should be taken lightly. By having more and more artists and bands create music and videos it helps to bring awareness to the issues at hand and helps promote change. “Day Zero” is a mostly instrumental track with extremely melodic interludes all throughout. The guitar playing utilizes lots of different effect pedals to create a futuristic and psychedelic tone, it kind of reminds me of something Pink Floyd would do in their psychedelic phase in the 60’s. I can definitely see how this would be used for a video about the global water crisis; it’s a great musical track to be the background for a photo montage, or video presentation.

You can stream “Day Zero” on your preferred streaming service and you can follow KinderCrowdControl on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
