Cleo shares a new track, “Escapism.”

The American-based Hip-hop, Indie pop artist Cleo delivers a new single, “Escapism,” from his latest album. Cleo, the stage name of EJ Kammerer, is a twenty-one-year-old singer and producer from Latrobe, PA, USA. They started making music in fifth grade, inspired by their fourth grade by covering classic rock songs with the class.

“Escapism” by Cleo (they/them) is a stand-alone single released on December 9, 2022. This song is a product of engulfing themselves into several influences, such as Quadeca’s “I Didn’t Mean to Haunt You”, Joji, and Keshi, welding them together and putting their twist on the alternative pop sound. 

“Escapism” is a song he genuinely had so much fun making. Cleo had a concept of making an album about leaving Earth with his girlfriend and seeking shelter on the moon where the problems of Earth had wholly vanished.
