Bandesla, a producer with a delectable musical styling, ended 2020 with a bang by debuting a 12-track effort titled F.L.O.A.T Music. One of the standout songs, “Autonomy,” is fitting to its name due to its space-inspired tone. However, what makes this track even more remarkable is Magi Camaj, a New-York-based entertainment attorney, 15x author, writer, and songwriter.
During her time on the mic at the four-minute mark, she drops a beautiful, heartfelt spoken word poem that highlights the power behind overcoming obstacles. As Magi continues to recite her piece, she drops influential lines like “Lost, but I looked inside and found my light. Wings flew, and I took flight. I guided myself. I’m strong now. I’m wise now.” Which, in turn, encourages listeners to never give up without a fight.
Circling back to “Autonomy,” the soundscape takes slight inspiration from EDM, using shimmery arrangements, an opera cry, piano loops, hi-hats, and smooth harmonies to give the song its proper delivery. But, as a whole, the Bandesla-produced beat utilizes smooth transitions, making the listening experience outer-worldly.
If I’m being honest, we all need to encounter this album during these trying times.
