Fresh off the heels of his single, “I Cant Lose,” Los Angeles’ Mar Keith Anthony returns with his second EP, “The 6th Man.” “The 6th Man” marks Hip-Hop recording artist Mar Keith Anthony’s third project. The EP has a basketball theme, and coincidentally, one of the songs, “Go In,” was leaked during the Warriors-Lakers game within the Crypto.com Arena. “Go In” officially debuted during games three and four of the playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. “The 6th Man” EP demonstrates that Mar Keith Anthony is big league ready.
“The 6th Man” EP kicks off with “Put Me in the Game.” “Put Me in the Game” plays off of the EP’s NBA-related theme and utilizes clever basketball metaphors. The vibey beat blends well with Mar Keith Anthony’s smooth, melodic vocals. Track two, “Go In,” is a hyphy, bouncy record where Mar Keith Anthony goes in. He unloads crisp, catchy bars. The next track, “Keep it 100 (Re-Mastered),” is a certified banger. Mar Keith Anthony keeps it real and spits hard-hitting lyrics. The final two tracks are radio edits of “Go In” and “Keep it 100,” so fans gladly get the EP on repeat.
Mar Keith Anthony enlisted a previous collaborator for “The 6th Man.” The entire EP was executively produced by four-time GRAMMY-winning producer Jairus Mozee. Additionally, Jairus Mozee further flexes his brilliance as he played all of the instruments on all of the songs on “The 6th Man.” The pair connected for a past single, which was played throughout multiple arenas during the NBA’s 2023-2024 season. “The 6th Man” firmly cements Mar Keith Anthony as a hitmaker and puts him in a league of his own in the Hip-Hop/Rap game.
