A-Zal Releases Captivating Visual for New Song “Lonely Town”

A-Zal closed out the summer with his single, “Movie Script,” and he now kicks off the fall with his new single, “Lonely Town.” “Movie Script” was met with much acclaim, reaching #51 on iHeartMedia’s Mediabase Top 40 Activator Chart. His latest song, “Lonely Town,” flips the script by being a more heartfelt, somber music piece; thus, showcasing A-Zal’s versatility and ability to master any style or genre of music.

“Lonely Town” has a more Indie, Ballad sound to it. The track holds a special place in A-Zal’s heart, and A-Zal gets vulnerable in the song. “Lonely Town” is an ode to New York, and dives into the immigrant struggle. “‘Lonely Town’ is a song that I wrote during my early struggle days in New York when I lived off tips that I received for my performances at the subway train stations.” A-Zal continues: “To bring my music to the West and live the American Dream, I made a bold decision in 2018 to migrate to the USA. I moved to New York, a city with a unique charm which pulls people like a magnet from all over the world; however, I felt there was also a lonely side to the city which had a totally different story. I started here with nothing in my hands and felt lonely even while I walked the buzzing streets filled with glamour.” Although the song has a melancholy feel to it, it also has a hopeful tone, which pays homage to A-Zal’s new home. A-Zal states: “Eventually, it was New York City that held my hands, the wind below my wings, and my home. This song is my way of giving a tribute to New York.”

Similar to “Movie Script,” A-Zal accompanied “Lonely Town” with a music video. The black-and-white music video, shot in New York City, accentuates the song’s imagery. The visual fully compliments the record and gives a perfect illustration of what a day in the life of New York City looks like, especially for a musician.
