YF Blasé ‘s latest single, “Heart Colder,” is about leaning onto your vices in tough times. On the jazz meets hip-hop production, the Las Vegas rhymester uses a steady, melodic flow to detail how getting lifted ultimately balances the lows. YF Blasé also explains why he’s chosen to show less love toward certain people. The moments that nearly broke him only made him stronger.
“Roll another one got pain up in this blunt,” he spits. “Drown my demons, yeah I’ll drown them in this cup/Heart cold, yeah my heart broke as fuck/Look I’m back and I’m better, test your luck.”
In the following lines, YF Blasé opens up about feeling lost in this stage of his life and why he ended a certain relationship.
“Chasing dreams but a young nigga stuck/Had to kick her cause she lying from the jump/I ain’t with her cause she play me like a chump,” he raps.
The rest of “Heart Colder” finds YF Blasé suppressing his memories with controlled substances. He also drops some advice he received from his mother about companionship.
“Mama said all these friends will turn to enemies/Heads up trying end up like a Kennedy/Down the barrel been the oldest broken remedy,” YF Blasé raps. “Off a Xan I ain’t got no fucking memories/True love at the bottom of this Hennessy/Devil baby but that loving was so heavenly.”
Since its release, “Heart Colder” has garnered 1,511 streams on Spotify.
