BBN Bosko – “Toxic”

BBN Bosko

BBN Bosko ‘s “Toxic” focuses on love and the toxicness of a relationship. The lyrics will move others who have dealt with all highs and lows with their significant others. “Toxic” interpolates Realest K‘s record with a similar name. Similarly, the guitar arp, guitar, bass, and drums paired with the soul-wrenching vocals get listeners to digest every word.

BBN Bosko’s lyrics are both concise and vulnerable, as he has an internal dialogue about his attempts to love his lady the right way. But, sometimes, overthinking and tragic memories cloud the couples’ better judgment.

Through it all, he wonders if she will stay by his side. “Now I know my love is toxic/Promise to get better will you love when im not sick?” he recites. “Way I never listen I aint mean to change the topic/I aint here forever will you love me when that clock tick?”

The 20-year-old musician says about the record,

“‘Toxic’ is meant to be a relatable bop who has either been or is going through a situation like this. This song was about a particular person I had a relationship with. I loved that girl, but we could not get along to save our lives. Hence the song’s name. In the song, I wasn’t trying to bash her name. It was moreso me reflecting on the bad and good decisions I made and telling people how I felt in and after the process. A lot of emotions and feelings went into this track.”

As an artist from Vancouver, Washington, he believes every creative from the West Coast has a certain toughness that shines through their music.

He adds, “It doesn’t matter what kind of music you make. All of us West Coast artists show our toughness in our art. We also show that we strive to be better than everyone else. Honestly, Vancouver isn’t the safest city in the world, and living here will give you tough skin.”
