Olas – “Been Fine (feat. designerdave)”

Olas and designerdave link up to rap with precision about taking control of their destinies in “Been Fine.” Refusing to let the negative moment ambush their joy, both musicians unveil that while it wasn’t easy overcoming minor setbacks, it had to be done. Additionally, they inform others that their independent drives to success panned out for the better.

The hook even goes, “I been fine for a minute uh uh/We could die at any second uh uh/Letting go is how I’m living uh uh/One of one nobody Twinning nah nah.”

The technical boom-bap production matches Olas’ sweet singing and designerdave’s concrete rhymes.

Olas describes his personality and how it’s best not to judge a book by its cover. He, then, subtly flexes about his drip.

Using a silky range, he delivers

“I’m fine when them lights out slight shy/But you could never tell ’cause I’m that guy./It’s my outer shell opposite of inside /Deep 3 new me feel hot let it fly/Veins iced, keep it cold latte inna winter time.”

designerdave smoothly slides on the beat, rapping about perseverance and the work he’s put in. To rephrase it, the MC has “put in blood, sweat, and tears/I need some compensation.”

Elsewhere, designerdave puts the opps in their place, promising to make them regret their words.

He spits,

Sign the contracts on the dotted line/Like the match bitch I got to shine/It’s just pride/Everything we get’s from the sweat off spine.

“All-time greats in the making/Olas been my right-hand businessman shaking/No vacations/Summertimes in the Stu big numbers/I got a hundred rhymes in the booth huh.”
