NIC MAG is a Los Angeles area native who spent his early years growing up in Gardena and Compton during the 1990s. Later, he relocated with his parents to Missouri where he spent the rest of his adolescence growing up.
Even though he had a passion for empowering the Black community through teaching youth knowledge of self, his ultimate love became rapping these teachings with fanciful lyricism and rhymes.
After taking a hiatus from Hip-Hop due to teaching youth in Missouri and Georgia schools, it wasn’t until he returned to his West Coast native stomping grounds that he would reemerge as the nice emcee he always was by dropping mixtapes comprised of all solo tracks except when collaborating with his long-time rhyme partner and rap artist, MISSISSIPPI THE TRUTH.
Soulful, conscious, west coast, 1990s-feel Hip-Hop but can still be a respected vibe to chill to in this modern-day era of rap music. NIC MAG’s track – “THE REALNESS” can flow on any beat, including today’s slower percussion, but enjoys giving elder Hip-Hop heads the gift of nostalgia with the essence of heyday – the Golden Years of Hip-Hop: Pac, NaS, Jigga, Biggie, Big L, Redman, Ice Cube, and more.
