Armanti Weeks – “Wanderer” & “Tell Me”

Armanti Weeks goes through make-or-break situations that test his love in “Wanderer” and “Tell Me.” Orchestrated by two calm neo-soul beats, “Wanderer” finds Weeks on the search for later. In contrast, the latter is about the singer wondering if he should move on. 

“Wanderer” interpolates Frank Ocean’s “We All Try.” The proof presents itself with the following passage:

“We try/Girls try/Boys try/Women try/Men try/You and I, we all try (x2).” 

Armanti Weeks also uses an ethereal range to detail his quest for romance. 

“Been in the valley and the city/Cruising with these pretty bitties/Looking for love/It’s hard to come by/Can’t even lie,” he sings. 

In “Tell Me,” the songwriter tries to right his wrongs. He admits to making mistakes that feel almost impossible to repair. 

Regretting his previous actions, Armanti sings

“And I know you’re hurting/And you feel like I took it too far (too far)/If I could, I would’ve kept the memories/And the scars (the scars).” 

Given the circumstances, he asks his lady if they should go their separate ways. 

He sings, “And I know you’re tired of it/And you need consistency (oh, you need consistency)/What can I do to make you feel right?/Or is this end of you and me?“
