Exclusive Interview with Jade

Hello Jade! Great to speak with you today!

Tell us about your latest project!

I’m currently working on an EP but in the meantime, I’ll be releasing singles. I am excited for them and sound-wise I am going for something different than I have in the past. I am experimenting a lot with sound and can’t wait to share when I have more details.

What is a dream venue for you to perform in?

The Seoul Olympic Stadium. I have always wanted to visit South Korea so getting to perform at such a big stadium there would be a dream come true! I grew up listening to and being inspired by many Korean artists so it would definitely be a dream come true to perform at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.

What has been keeping you inspired to create recently?

Recently I’ve been inspired by my need to experience life to create. The more I experience life, the more I can pull to write about. Rather than focus on writing music, I focus on experiencing life and having fun cause when I am in that state, I can write more meaningful music.

What has been the biggest game changer in your career this far?

The biggest game-changer has been learning to network. I’m naturally quite introverted so It’s easy for me to shut myself in and not interact with people. As an artist networking is extremely important. But I think learning how to network correctly is what has helped me. To me, it’s about building meaningful relationships with people, not just what you can do for them or what they can do for you.

Who would you say is your biggest cheerleader in your career?

My dad is definitely my biggest cheerleader. I learned my love of creating from him. My dad has worked for himself for over 25 years on a business he created. I grew up looking up to him and wanted to become a creator through music. He taught me strength, perseverance, and how to dream big. He is always supporting my content and sharing it wherever he can.

How important do you think it is for artists to know and understand music history?

I think it is important so you can know your music roots essentially. You can know where you were so you can get to where you’re going musically. I still have so much to learn and I am always learning.
