Raystuntin – “His Lost”

Raystuntin promises a life filled with unconditional love to a lady who’s hesitant about leaving her beau in “His Lost.” Moreso, the rapper lyrically concludes that she should drop that zero & get with the hero. The instrumental takes admiration from pop, trap, & R&B, comprising a cheery vibe.
At the beginning of “His Lost,” the rapper questions his lover’s motive. On one end, she’s still with a good-for-nothing man. But, at the same time, this lady is sending Raystuntin some mixed signals. So, to ensure his time isn’t wasted, he gives her space. He hopes that she will make a final decision on who to date. The rapper guarantees that she will be his wifey when it’s all said & done.
“How you want this life, but you still treat me like I’m regular/Blowin’ up my phone/Why this bitch hittin’ my cellular/I done told you way to many times the way I like to get down/So if you with it baby we could go like ten rounds,” he spits.
“But baby, it’s your choice/You screamin’ out my name I hope the neighbors hear your voice/You fuckin’ with a brokie come & cry inside the Royce/You ain’t used to this so baby take your time/But I should let you know that either way you gon’ be mine.”
From there, the rapper gets transparent about his feelings. He expresses a dire need to be her knight in shining armor. Also, Raystuntin tells his PYT to put her happiness first. Even though her ex might be angry with her choice, he says, “I know your ex is mad you with me, but that’s his loss.”
Once the 808s & acoustic guitar loops seep in, Raystuntin explains how he pursued her. After shooting his shot, the rapper learned about her boyfriend’s affair. This betrayal fueled the chemistry between the “Vibe” spitter & this woman. Even though she considers him a best friend, Raystuntin knows that it’s something more. After she breaks up with the adulterer, the musician pampers her with attention, praise, & luxurious goods.
Taking slight inspiration from Drake’s “Best I Ever Had,” Raystuntin goes on to say, “I’m gon’ buy you Prada baby ’cause you know I’m proud of you/& Anything you wanted baby girl you know I got it too.”
In the second verse, the hip-hop artist says they may fuss and fight sometimes, but his love & respect towards her are everlasting.
He raps, “They say we toxic, but the love we share is special/I know we fight but it ain’t nothin’ like a wrestle/I wouldn’t lay my hands on you to save my life/Cause honestly I’m thinkin’ you gon be my wife.”
He also says, “& If we break up baby promise I’ma get right back to you/I’m never leaving yea uh.“
The rest of “His Lost” focuses on Raystuntin’s admiration towards her & vice versa, their close bond, & how he intends to keep her happy.
