Nomads – “Figures”

The rap group, Nomads provides the audience with tools that’ll help them obtain success in their latest song, “Figures.” This message is foretold with blunt raps, anime references, and more. Not to mention, the group gives themselves a pat on the back for making it. It took a lot of early mornings and restless nights to get there.

Over the space-ridden trap beat, Flyboi Rell speaks about getting straight to business without taking breaks. Because music is their die-hard passion, Nomad instantly begins creating. And in turn, they earn a substantial amount of money. Afterward, Flyboi Rell subtly advises cash-hungry individuals to take notes for what they’ll say next. “Pullin’ out the recipe for anyone that’s penny-pinching,” he raps.

The rapper who comes on next seems to be Lava God, who speaks about his excellence, comparing it to characters from shows like Avatar and One Punch Man. He proceeds to explain what happens to those who talk down on his name.

Another significant part of his verse is when he tells others how to become successful.

He spits, “Yeah, just live within your means/And start developing your brand/Yes success is so obtainable/Go find out who you are and then expand.

Following this, Flyboi Rell adds on to the advice Lava God has passed on. In summary, they stress how important it is to remain focused.

He also informs haters that he didn’t ask for this much attention. It’s just a perk of being a notable figure. After, the rapper speaks about his dealings with a woman and exclusive drip and lavish lifestyle. He’s ultimately blessed to be where he’s at in life.

He raps, “Dream about money/Woke up to a check/Wanna flex like this/Need an arm and a leg.”

Lava God closes the song with promising threats aimed at the opps and lends more gems, like insisting on doing activities that make you happy.

Flyboi Rell follows lead by reflecting on the come up and unveiling how he became a success story. Should you follow their words, you too will make a name for yourself.

Natalee Gilbert got the chance to speak to Nomads at New Fire Music. You can read the convo below:

What is your stage name?

Nomads

How did you start making music?

The group was formed in 2019 and was made when for the purpose of helping this group of artist expand past the area they were currently in and get larger opportunities.

Did you find some troubles creating this single?

We did not have trouble creating this single the thing we had trouble with was coming up with a cover art concept

Can you recall the day you first started your single?

This was the single that we had in the vault for awhile and was waiting to release before one of our members moved up north. I do not remember when it was made but when i got sent the file i couldn’t stop thinking about how dynamic the single was.

Favorite single from the brand?

This is my favorite single from the brand because it shows the overall sound progression of the group. With the single, it matches our branding very well and helps tie together everything we have ever created. This single sets us apart because it is each artist at their peak. With the individual artist flyboi rell you really see his progression on this single with the many witty bars and hints of storytelling he gives throughout his 2 verses.

Influences:

The brands overall influences are AWGE, Private Club, Suicide Boys, Dreamville, and other collectives/artists that are taking the routes of independence. Denzel Curry, Kenny Mason. For our creative visual influences, I would say creatives such as NiteTive, PabJesh, bored youth collective, and others.

Describe the message of the single:

The message behind this single is all about making it through adversity. You hear certain bars throughout the single that hint at that two  Examples really stand out, Lava God “ Look down the scope and i know that you will get” and Flyboi Rell “Remember times I was broke but cant reminisce.” The brand has faced a lot of adversity throughout the two years we have been established but every time we have a hiatus period we always come back better than we were.

What do you aim for in your overall sound? What is your message?

As the manager of the brand, I can say that the overall sound here is growth. Everything about this brand is growth even down to the colors used to portray the brand. With every song that both Flyboi Rell and Lava God put out you always hear them growing as both artists and people. With the overall brand, everything from the branding to the visual content all you see is growth in both skillset and knowledge
