~Bringing Recognition to Tucson Hip Hop Scene~

Fresh off his performance at the Arizona Hip Hop Festival, J. Reece is ready to put Tucson, AZ on the Hip Hop radar! Born and raised in Tucson, AZ, J. Reece knew at an early age that he wanted to be a musician. Originally destined to play football, J. Reece thought he had his life figured out as an athlete but later suffered an injury requiring him to pursue other paths. Residing close to the U.S./Mexico border, J. Reece witnessed a lot of crime, drugs, and the unfortunate violence associated with the “street life” that he needed to find an escape for a better future.

Reece was encouraged by many to enter the music industry with his ability to harmonize, for having creative writing skills, and a natural talent to come up with BARS in the studio. J. Reece made a name for himself earning his reputation going block to block battling other rappers in Tucson and quickly started to sell out venues for his performances. His music career was on the rise and he reached over one million views on YouTube for one of his early singles entitled “If I was Thuggin”.

Residing on the West Coast, J. Reece has been heavily influenced by rappers such as Ice Cube, Schoolboy Q, Xzibit, 50 Cent, Method Man and producers such as Dr. Dre, Pharrell, and Kanye West.

Current Projects

Fast forward to 2021, J. Reece has come out blazing with his new hit single “Bad Thing”. This song has garnered the attention of many clubs in the Arizona area and word is starting to spread fast about this single. J. Reece was most recently featured by Stardom101Magazine and was also an Artist Spotlight with On the Radar.

For J. Reece, it is important for him to make a wave for the Tucson area to bring more recognition to his city and hopes for more media outlets to appear in his hometown.
