Xani “#G2DM”

Xani urges money-oriented individuals to stack their paper up in “#G2DM.” Like she says in one line, “You can’t make money with a broke mindset.” The positively charged banger is assisted by a pulsating hip-hop instrumental. Subsequently, the beat slightly samples Jurassic Park’s theme song. 

In the beginning, the femcee speaks on the benefits of having multiple sources of income. By having more ways to get money, one can pay off their finances and help loved ones and the community. But, of course, it also helps to have some extra cash to splurge on yourself. At the same token, Xani expresses why she looks to earn an extra buck. 

Using a fast-paced flow, she spits

“Gotta pay the rent/That 9-5 ain’t it/True hustler/Homies in the kitchen whipping work/Whether it be a filet or them cooking down that salt/Need a quick flip/Gotta pay my dues, my tuition/Gotta find a way to get my homie off addiction.”

Deeper into the song, the rapstress addresses those who are too comfortable being stagnant. While listing the downfall of relying on paycheck to paycheck, Xani shares the key to being stress-free with finances. 

“But you can double up your bag/By building your assets/Invest!!“

During the second verse, the “Like Me” artist tells those looking for some extra dough to put the work in. Sitting around and waiting for a miracle won’t do justice. 

She drops, “If you always broke/You gone have to get the stepping /Feel up on your pockets /If all you feel is cotton/Then you gone need to do more work a little harder.“

She compares the experience of striving towards wealth to other goals that others set for themselves. Moreover, Xani advises others to do the actions behind the scene. Instead of being fearful of change, dive right in. All it takes is self-affirmations and faith.

“To make it really big/You gotta lose a little sleep/They all up on your back/Cause they really want you out/Believe in your craft/Watch you push away the doubt.”

“#G2DM” has been recognized by PIX11 Morning News host Ben Aaron and others across the globe. Recently, Xani blessed the stage at the PIX11 Morning News’ plaza. She also held a dance challenge for the song. The winner, Brave, took home $300 along with official Xani merch.
