Renz Scruggs – “Do or Die (feat. Icebvrg Slim)”

Renz Scruggs

Renz Scruggs is a go-getter, and that trait certainly reflects itself in his discography. Holding nothing back in his bars, the rapper speaks about his lifestyle, getting to the bag, and the fruits from his labor. Likewise, Renz Scruggs remains transparent, expressing what he’s gone through and how it made him feel.

“I aim to be real. I’m a human being. There are times where I am happy and write songs that reflect it. There are times where I’m going through something and times where I write about that. So I don’t believe I have a ‘particular sound.’ I write music based on how I feel—real human emotions. I want my message to be exactly that. I am embracing my feelings and not being afraid to show them.”

The musician began his musical journey at 13-years-old. Subsequently, he found some troubles in the beginning stages.

He adds, “I ran into was finding my sound, being comfortable with myself enough to be me through the music. It eventually came with maturation in life. Getting different experiences, growing, truly liking who I’ve become as a person.”

His first song was recorded on acid pro and a microphone from a kids karaoke set. Before hopping in the booth, Renz Scruggs needs a couple of drinks and candy by his side. Inspirations include Jay-ZBiggie2PACZ-Ro and Trae Tha Truth. As for daily influences, he lists his family.

“My everyday surroundings and environment that make me who I am.”

For his latest song, “Do or Die (feat. Icebvrg Slim),” he really embraced the culture of a rap artist and created a catchy tune that also showcased his lyrical ability.

The song is a Latin music-inspired trap offering that finds the duo exposing haters, wannabes, and bluffers. Likewise, they vocalize that they have something to shut sh*t down if things get rowdy.

Renz Scruggs raps with bouncy cadence lines like “I’m nothing like them, man I’m focused” and “We ain’t the same/And I’m gon put that on my babies/I can see you niggas bogus.

He and his competitors have many differences, including their work ethic and willingness to work around the clock. Before ending his verse, Renz Scruggs takes the time to do a subtle flex about his foreign whips and drip. He also shows love to his beautiful lady.

Icebvrg Slim delivers his rhymes in sing-song autocroon. Lyrically, he talks about his day ones and handling haters if they need to be dealt with. Aside from this, he expresses that he’s going to keep on hustling with or without a girl. The goal is to earn “all blue hundreds” and eat with his squad.
