Fabrejay, a hyphenate artist, DJ, producer, and entrepreneur, has officially topped the charts! As of late, his eclectic, bassy offering “Birth” has peaked at No. 3 on iTunes’ Top Songs chart and South Africa’s Top 100 Singles chart. The song also shot up to No. 9 on the all genres chart. Case in point, this is a notable accomplishment for the CEO of Kure Music Group, especially because it’s his first-ever release under his record label.
Personally, I couldn’t be happier for him. “Birth” is a track that should be listened to by the masses. Not only does it possess an empowering tone, but the beat also urges you to seize the day. With over fifteen years of musical expertise under his belt and an unwavering passion for sound curation, Fabrejay certainly knows the dos and don’ts of creating a timeless record.
Fabrejay says about this astonishing news,
“Being that it’s my first time ever charting, I was a bit shocked to hear the news at first and then, of course, became filled with gratitude and happiness. I looked up, thanked God, I smiled, right after thanked South Africa for making this all possible.”
Music called to Fabrejay once he started recording compilation cassette tapes and selling them to his classmates at around eight years old. A few years later, Fabrejay got access to some DJ equipment, which helped tremendously. Shortly after, he started djing at parties and promoted his own parties at 15 years old. At the same time, Fabrejay continued to sell his own mixtapes in stores and to his peers. Since then, he’s been “laying brick by brick.”
Congratulations are definitely in order for the megastar!
