New York-based femcee, Kitty Kitty, uses her dominating voice to push other women to love themselves inside and out. In a nutshell, Kitty Kitty’s music focuses on self-confidence and her life’s journey. With this in mind, I suggest that every woman take out their notepad once she blares through the speakers, for her words are gems that’ll push you towards reflection and positive change.
Born Kayla, Kitty Kitty worked at the Federal Express office before starting her career as an entertainer. She first garnered a massive fanbase after doing comedy and short-skits online under the pseudonym, Purel3eauty. Kitty Kitty also had assistance from Daniel Jean.
Her love for music prompted her to become a rapper. In return, she earned a smash-hit called “Made It,” which went on to play on Hot 97.
As of late, Kitty Kitty is readying for the release of her upcoming E.P, which will drop sometime in 2020. More recently, however, she released another banger called “All You Need,” which features Wu-Tang Clan member, Method Man.
Kitty Kitty’s “All You Need (feat Method Man)” is a remake of his and R&B icon, Mary J. Blige‘s “All I Need.” The only difference is that “All You Need” carries more drums and a speedy rhythm pattern.
On “All You Need,” Kitty Kitty raps effortlessly to the lush production and tells the bachelors out there that she won’t settle for less. In other words, she’d like a fellow who’ll protect her and treasure their love.
Shortly after, Kitty Kitty details that if he treats her right, she’ll be the Bonnie to his Clyde. “Ride together, die together, everywhere we fly together,” she raps. “Us verse them, they can die whenever.” Elsewhere in her verse, Kitty Kitty even unveils, “He knows I’ma make sure he good even if he not straight.” Overall, Kitty Kitty is looking for a ride-or-die. One might even add that her cadence resonates with Lil Kim‘s.
Method Man speaks from the male’s point of view, saying that he’s looking for the same kind of bond. “I let her hold my jewelry; she holds me down with the jury,” he raps. “Just you and me, I hold you down with impunity.” Deeper into his verse, Method Man speaks about his previous relationships before declaring that being a couple only works if they’re unified. His tonality still stays to its laid-back and articulate form.
The visual that accompanies this song sees Kitty Kitty and Method Man riding around. That is until the police begin to grill them. Following this, the snippets give viewers a look of Kitty Kitty going back-and-forth with the cops in the interrogation room and spitting bars as she dons a sheer, white one-piece.
Method Man wears a crisp white tee and raps in front of a vivid graffiti wall. The visual then crosses over between Method Man and Kitty Kitty, meeting up and reciting his lyrics as orange smoke illuminates the clear, dark sky.
